Read here or print out and post at home for practice! Put words on cards and have your child sort words by chunks.
First Grade Word Wall Words Flash Cards and Lists
Your child will be getting 5 Word Wall Words every week. Each week, a list of these words will be sent home in your child's homework folder. These lists should be kept in a place where continued practice can take place, if necessary. Each day your child should practice reading them. It is also a good idea to see if your child can use them in sentences (verbally.) If your is reading at a Level H or above, he/she should also practice spelling them.
 Flashcards - Sight Words
Use these to help your child with instant recognition of sight words. Learning these will help faciliate reading progress.
 Parents . . . just some thoughts
You may want to take the time to read these.
